Series of linocut prints made for dog owners in my community in exchange for their stories of how they got their dogs. As a dog owner who understands the close bond we have with our pets, I sought to hear diverse stories from individuals in my communities. After receiving the participants’ personal stories which I requested through my Instagram story, I asked for their favorites images of their dogs to pick through while creating the prints. Every participant was given a print of their dog. Through this project I was able to connect with peers and open conversations, make new friends, and gain experience making work for others.
